Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumder wrote some stories and parables for the first Bengali language. The name given to him is the name of grandmother, it is a folklore and a collection of books. Grandson was published in 1907. Rabindranath Tagore wrote the role of this compilation. Prior to the release of Thakurmar Jhuli, the writer’s writings and collected fairytale were published in some newspapers of Calcutta, without being the publisher of the Thakurmar Jhuli manuscript, the writer, Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumdar, was inspired to publish himself. During this time Dineshchandra Sen got in touch with him and through his initiative Bhaktacharya and Sons, the famous publishing house of the time, was published in 1907, Thakurama Jhulli.
Dakshinaranjan Mitra Mazumdar was born in Ulain village of Savar upazila in Dhaka district. His mother’s name was Kusumayee and father’s name Ramdaranjan Mitra Majumder.

In 1887, at the age of 10, he was admitted to the first class in Dhaka’s Mohan High School. Dakshinaranjan was admitted to Class 7 in Dhaka Collegiate School from Kishoremohana High School in 1896. While not able to do good at the time of his education. His father admitted to Tangail, Rajlaksmi Chowdhurani, and left Tangail’s Santoshi High School. From the boarding of this school, he studied till class 10, But suddenly the father decided to leave Tangail and went to class 10 in Baharampur High School in 1897. He passed the Entrance examination in 1898 from the first division of this school. Then he was admitted to Brahampur Krishnath College, but he did not complete his studies. He died on1956 in his own house in Kolkata.
