The Alik Manush (Aleek Manush) is a best known Bengali Novel. The novel has ben written by the poet Syed Mustafa Siraj. It was first published from Kolkata on Baishakh, 1355 (Bengali calendar). Syed Mustafa Siraj was a prominent Bengali author. He wrote more than 150 novels and 300 short stories and he wrote so many stories. One of his most popular works, he got the Sahitya Academy award for his novel Alik Manush on 1994. He is so popular in Bengali literature and among the readers that almost everyone knows the details of his life and writings. His book Alik Manush is very popular in Bengali society. And for writing this novel, he received the Sahitya Akademi Award.
He was born on 14 October, 1930 at Khoshbaspur, Murshidabad and died on 4 September, 2012. His pen name is Iblish.
