Chatushkone was written by Manik Bandopadhyay. He was a  social revolutionary and pioneer Bengali novels writer of Bengal.India. He was born at Dumka in the state of Bihar,India on 19th May, 1908. He was a Bengali novelist modern and is considered one of the leading lights of modern Bengali fiction.
