Nihar Ranjan Gupta, a renowned Bengali detective fiction writer, was a prominent physician also. Most of his works are based on popular mystery stories. Born on June 6, 1911 in Lohagara upazila in Joshore of Bangladesh. Then he came to Calcutta in India.

On June 23, 1757, in the shade of a dense mango orchard in the desert of Palashi, the heroic soldier Mirmadan was bloodied and wounded by cannon fire. The heroic Bengali general Mohanlal is still fighting fiercely. MirJafar, Yar-Latif and Raydurlav also stood in the distance, but they did not go to war. Or did not cooperate with Nawab Sirajuddaula in the war.
In a little war, things changed quickly and sank, the sun of independence sank.
The unfortunate Nawab Sirajuddaula left the battlefield with only two hundred horsemen on the backs of elephants, in a vile conspiracy of the traitors. Convinced of defeat, he fled in fear and returned to Mansurganj Rajprasad. There the gates of the treasury were opened by order of the Nawab. The Nawab said, “Distribute the wealth one by one, do not be stingy, give the accumulated money.” Take as much money as you want and exchange these things with the promise of a soldier and jump into the battlefield to save the country from the hands of the English.
From the lust of foreign merchants to your homeland. Save, friend, save.
But no, no one listened to him, no one listened. Finally, in deep sorrow, so in the middle of the night, the unfortunate Nawab, disguised as a fakir of the path, secretly left behind the Mughal masnad of Hirajheel and came to the uninhabited road of the capital.
But what a cruel irony of fate! On the way he was caught by Mirkashim. He was brought in front of Mir Jafar. Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah begged. And wealth, value, prestige, nothing, nothing I need, just beg me for life, just let me live. MirJafar may not have been able to bear the last plea of the tearful voice, so he shouted and said to the guard, “Take him, throw him in jail.” I can’t see this scene anymore.
And in a moment of silent silence the Clive forces entered. Mirzafar and Clive both held a consultative meeting and there was a verdict in his judgment that Siraj could not survive, as long as Siraj did not have faith. His last mark must be removed. Death was his only consequence and the death sentence was signed.
Nawab Sirajuddaula was then kept in solitary confinement in a secluded room at Jafarganj Rajprasad.
And at MirJafar’s direction, Mohammadi Beg cut off his head.

Bidrohi Bharat Part – 2

From the time of the Indian liberation struggle in 1857 to the independence of India, the Indian army that was applauded by the British on the back was actually made up of Gorkha and Sikh warriors.
If the Gurkha and Sikh armies of the Great Revolution of 1857 (1857) had not sided with the whites and if they had not remained obedient to them later on, the dream of the Firingis to expand their operations in India for nearly two and a half centuries might have been shattered.
Just as the Sikh forces are the first to be remembered in the defeat of Delhi, the words of the treacherous Jangbahadur Nepali soldiers are the first to be remembered on the day of the defeat in Lucknow.
Author Nihar Ranjan Gupta, in the first part of his novel Rebel India, beautifully describes the arrival of the British in India and the end of Mughal rule.
