For example, it can be said that the present system of government of the United States of America is not the subject matter of State Philosophy. It is only the conventional system of government of a particular State, which is applicable only in India. The subject matter of the peace we are discussing has been divided into two parts by writers like ‘Henry Sidgwick‘, ‘James Kerr Pollock‘ and others – ‘Theoretical Politics‘ and ‘Applied Politics‘.
When we say State Philosophy, we mean only theoretical politics. This means that the scope of our subject is narrowed, because in our subject we discuss both theoretical politics and applied politics. That is why in the present age this subject of ours is called ‘Political Science‘ and this name has been adopted by everyone.
