Thakurmar Jhuli Bengali folk story by Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumder .

Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumder wrote some of the first Bengali folk tales and fairy tales. Among them, the most famous is Thakurmar Jhuli. It is a collection of stories and fairy tales. In 1907 Thakurmar Jhuli was published. Rabindranath Tagore wrote the role of this compilation.
Prior to the release of Thakurmar Jhuli, the author’s writings and collected fairy tale were printed in some newspapers of Kolkata. Without getting the publisher of Thakurmar Jhuli manuscript, the author got excited to publish himself, writer Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumder.
During this time, Dineshchandra Sen was in contact with him, and through his initiative, a folk tale of Thakurmar Jhuli was published in 1907 from Bhattacharya and Sons, the famous publishing house of that time.
Dakshinaranjan Mitra Mazumder was born in Ulain village of Savar upazila in Dhaka district of Bangladesh on 15 April 1877. His mother’s name was Kusumayee and father’s name Ramdaranjan Mitra Majumder.

In 1887, at the age of 10, he was admitted to Kishorimohan high school in class one. In 1893, Dakshinaranjan was admitted to Dhaka Collegiate School from Kishorimohan High School in 1896. While these two could not do good at the time of study, his father admitted to Tangail, Rajlaksmi Chowdhurani, and left Tangail’s Santoshi High School. From the boarding of this school, he studied till class 10, but the sudden decision of his father was left from Tangail and in 1897, he was admitted to Baharampur High School in Tenth grade. He passed the Entrance Examination in 1898 from the first division of this school. He was then admitted to Kashinath College in Baharampur, but he did not finish the studies. In 1956, he died in the literary building of his own living building in Calcutta.
Other articles of the authors are Arya Nari, Charu and Haru, Khoka-Khukur Khela, Amal Boi, Saral Chandi, Pobar Katha, First boy, Utpal and Robi, Kishorder Maan,Karmer Kirti, golden son of Bengal, sabuj Lekha, Chiradiner Rupkatha etc.. In 1901, he published a monthly periodical journal titled Sudha in his own editions. He pulled a lot of pictures. Pictures of Thakurmar Jhuli hangs his own drawings.
