Kumaresh Ghosh wrote the novel Hasir Galpa. 

Kumaresh Ghosh (21 January 1913 – 30 April 1995) was an Indian Bengali poet, short story writer and novelist known for his humorous writings. As a magician of color, he was one of the creators of Bengali humor. He regularly edited the humor magazine Yashtimadhu for thirty-three years. Kumaresh Ghosh edited many books and achieved success by translating Sanskrit literature’sManusamhita” (মনুসংহিতা) into Bengali.
