Syed Mustafa Siraj is a popular writer of Bengali literature. He is known as a deep biographer, a poet, a singer. He was contemporary of Atin Bandyopadhyay, Sunil Gangopadhyay, Prafulla Roy, Shyamal Gangopadhyay, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, and novelist, while he was brilliant in the talent.
In the sixties, Bengali writer Syad Mustafa Siraj came up with many new authors. Siraj had brought about the life experiences of the lives of the marginalized people of Bengal, and he created the favorite colonel of small children.
This author was born in October 1930 in Khoshbag village of Murshidabad district. In his student life he was associated with leftist politics. He also traveled with the songs of village-song songs and exported his music. On the remote end of Bengal, he traveled extensively. He conveyed the sense of life through the smell of the village of Bangla, to a citizen of the light.

In 1966, the first novel Nilgharer Noti, published in the book, gained popularity. After that he took a place in Bangla literature through a novel like Trinobhumi, Alik manush, Mayamridanga, Uttar Jahnyabi, Hijal Kanya, Niloy Na Jani and so on.
