Syed Mustafa Siraj was a eminent Bengali writer in India. He was presented the Sahitya Academy Award for his novel Aleek Manush. He was regularly written articles for the magazine of Kashtipathar.

The novel book was published on 1965 from Kolkata. He was spent in his childhood in the village at Khosbaspur of Birbhum district. He was a nature lover. He wrote many story in the base of village life. He wrote most of rural theme base short stories, novels, Detective stories and children’s literature. He died on September 4, 2012 from Kolkata in India.
