What is the special diversity of India?
There are countless people in the world. Yet, each person has a unique sound in their gait, speech, shape, and mannerisms. That is why each person is called a person in our language. This diversity of personality is unique. One can recognize the person only by their voice and tone. Every person also has this characteristic in their footsteps. Even if we cannot always catch it, the ears of the blind can catch it. One evening, a discussion was going on about all these things between the poet Rabindranath Tagore and the visionary Brajendra Sil. The writer and one or two others were fortunately present there.
After a profound discussion by Brajendranath Shil on humanism, poet Rabindranath said, “In our country, everything is judged by place, time, and context. In this, man is the context. Each context has its own special features. Don’t particular places and times also have their own special features? I think that one era is completely different from the next. If you look at it, you will find a characteristic of that era in every country on the earth. Again, each era also has a unique national character. There is no way to avoid that characteristic of that country in all eras, new or old.”
Brajendra Nath Shil asked Rabindranath Tagore, “What do you think is this ‘characteristic’ of India?”
Poet Rabindranath Tagore said, “The vision of unity and the practice of unity amidst diversity are the special religion of India. I have said this well in my History of India. Many religions and cultures, high and low, coexist in India. No one wanted to exterminate anyone. Can this be seen anywhere else? And in all countries, the strong religion and culture have crushed and annihilated the weak. But that has never happened in India. The practice of harmony and harmony amidst this diversity is the special practice of India.
The practice of harmony amidst various conflicts is the vow of India. The saints who have achieved perfection in this practice are the great men of our country. We remember their names with respect. We forget the victors in big wars, but we can never forget the names of Ram, Krishna, Buddha, Kabir, Ravidas, Nanak, Chaitanya etc. The practice of yoga amidst conflicts is called Bharat-panth in the language of the saints of the Middle Ages, and this the great men of India are the people of Bharat who have perfected their spiritual practice.
When did Rabindranath Tagore win the Nobel Prize?
After India, the talk of the ‘specialness’ of Bengal or Bangladesh (undivided India) began. It is located in the eastern part of India. Regarding this ‘specialness’, the poet said, “Bangladesh is made of river silt. The land here is fertile. Every seed here becomes alive and successful. Therefore, there is a special demand for life here. Being a land of silt, the land here is not hard. Therefore, the weight of old temples, palaces, etc. does not fall here. All those weights gradually sink here. That is why there are not many old architectures, pilgrimages, etc. in Bangladesh. The richness of the old is very little. Should I call it bad luck or good luck?
Bangadesh or Bangladesh (undivided India) is free from the burden of the old with the blessings of God. However, God has given it more responsibility for the pursuit of life. His country is a fertile land of silt. Life cannot fail here. Even if the dead stone burden of the old is not borne here, the demands of life will be completely successful here.
Who was Raja Rammohan Roy?
That is why God’s first demand came to this Bangladesh at the beginning of this era of East-West union. That appeal of great sorrow. Therefore, Raja Rammohan Roy was tortured in this country, he died abroad. His torture has not ended in this country yet. We are still searching for his path with endless intelligence, trying to understand and explain him in every possible way. And those of us who want to identify ourselves as his followers are even more pitiful.
Yet in this country, the first prayer of life from God came to Bangladesh. That is why this country has not had to endure less suffering till today. Of course, many people have also been born in this country to cause suffering to the travelers on this path. Some of them become spies and get government salaries, some become open spies and get the summons and encouragement of narrow-minded people. There is no end to the suffering of Bangladesh. Yet, the true children of Bangladesh, the true followers of the path, have never wanted to avoid this suffering in any way. Bengal has always responded to this pursuit. It was not afraid to sacrifice its life for it.
Who was Brajendra Nath Shil?
If you demand in the name of life, in the name of humanity, you will get a response here. In the living world, the demand for life is valid. But just because you keep the pursuit of this country difficult and burdened with the pressure of the ancient stone world, it will not work. If you want to avoid the responsibility of life by covering the fertile expanse of Bangladesh with the stone weight of temple palaces, we will be apostates.
If you look at the history of Bangladesh’s efforts in various fields, you will understand the truth of all these words. Even in ancient times, humanist Bangladesh was reprehensible to the scriptural leaders of India. If you come here without a pilgrimage, you had to do penance. That means Bangladesh has always been free from scriptural reforms. Buddhism, Jainism, etc. have always been strong in this country or its surroundings. At that time, Magadha was also isolated with Bengal, that is, independent.
Why famous Poet Rabindranath Tagore in India?
Poet Rabindranath Tagore said, “The talent for movement is a specialty of Bangladesh. It can also be seen in Bengali art. Just as animals assimilate various vital juices from various foods, Bangladesh has made its art and craft alive with various materials. Life is a very mysterious thing. It takes what it wants to take and does not store unnecessary burdens. It easily eliminates. whatever is unnecessary for life. When the body loses this power, that is, when it cannot properly eliminate what is discarded, then various diseases and misfortunes come and surround it. Bangladesh has always been free from this disease.
