Ramesh Chandra said in his own words – “I traveled with my father to various places in Bengal. I am still very happy when I remember those childhood memories. Now it would take much longer to go to Jessore than it takes to go from Calcutta to Lahore or Bombay. Because there was no other means of transportation except Palki or boat. As a result, people at that time had less opportunities to see than now, but whatever they did see, they had more opportunities to see the beautiful scenery of the city, the countryside, the streets, the bazaars, the canals, the buildings, the temple.”
