Introduction
The documentary book Abhibyakti is written by Rathindranath Tagore. He has presented the correct idea about the origin of the world in this book. Readers and students can gain the correct idea and special knowledge about the origin of the world by reading this book. He has mentioned the essence of the oldest religious books of India such as Rig-Veda, Upanishads, Vedanta Sutra, Bhagavata Purana etc. about the theory of creation in this book. The curiosity to know the real information about the mystery of creation arises in each of us more or less. From that point of view, the book will be accepted as a unique book by everyone.
Description of the origin of the world
There are two types of ideas about the origin of the world. All the matter and living things that we see on the earth now were not created suddenly at some great moment, but the diversity of the world has gradually developed from a few elements.
For a long time, people have believed the first. Only a hundred years ago, doubts have appeared in the minds of people about this belief. A few scientists have awakened this doubt in our minds, Darwin being the chief among them.
The Miraculous Mystery of Creation and Superstition
There is a certain comfort in thinking that the world with plants and animals came into being suddenly, especially with the help of divine power. We do not have to use our intelligence much; we escape from many kinds of cunning thoughts. That is why we do not want to give up this superstition easily. We can blame religion on it. The priests have always told us to believe this.
Hearing such absurd stories as “Various living beings were born from the body of Brahma” or “All things were created by a single breath of God” from childhood does not arouse our curiosity to know the real facts about the mystery of creation.
In this regard, there was ignorance and blindness in our country as in other countries. Therefore, when science in Europe abandoned the miraculous mystery of creation and tried to bring it within the bounds of logic, a huge controversy broke out all around. Since then, the conflict between secular religious beliefs and science has been brewing, and it has not been completely resolved yet.

Current beliefs have always followed the easy path of ignorance, but in all ages and countries, it is seen that a few wise men have tried to understand how the living world came into being. Scientific research has only begun in recent times, not very much more than a century ago, but it should not be thought that scientific doctrine is a completely new and irrelevant Matter; It is the result of the thinking of many philosophers over the past thousand or two thousand years.
Scientists like Darwin owe a lot to their predecessors. In ancient times, there was no division between philosophy and science. Therefore, whatever scientific information was known in ancient times, we have to collect it from our ancient philosophers or sages.
The Ancient Books of India on the Theory of Creation
The ancient books of India, the Vedas and Upanishads, mention that water was created first, from which everything was created. According to Manu, an egg was created in that water and when it was divided into two, the sky and the earth were created. The Chandogya Upanishad (319) also talks about such an egg and the origin of the sky and the earth from the divided egg. Elsewhere in this Upanishad (62) it is described in more detail – from Brahma, light, water and earth (Food) These three principals were created.
Again in the Taittiriya Upanishad (21) it is found that at first there was only the soul, from the soul the sky, from the sky the air, from the air the fire, from the fire the water, from the water the earth, from the earth the herbs, from the herbs the food and from the food the man was created. The basic substances from which the living beings were created, the earth, water, light, air and sky, were later called the five great elements.
Origin of Matter and Living beings
The sages of the Vedic age were not satisfied with solving the problem of the origin of matter and living beings. They also tried to investigate the cause of creation. According to the Samkhya, anger is created in the unmanifested original nature by the connection with the man. Nature is unconscious but becomes active in contact with the man and starts to manifest in various ways.
Then its state of equality is broken and differences begin, only then does the great or intellect appear, then the ego arises because of this ego, all the senses of man are developed – the five senses of knowledge, The five action organs and the mind, these eleven organs are produced by the influence of the Sattva Guna. And, when the Tama Guna increases along with ego, then the five senseless great beings are created.
About the origin of the living being
This is the beginning of creation. Then let us see what the sages have specifically said about the origin of the living being. In the Aitareya Upanishad (33), there are four types of living beings – testicles, uterus, sweat and vegetation. In some Upanishads (such as Chandogya 6.6) excluding sweat, only these three types of living beings are mentioned – testicles, living beings and vegetation. But to maintain harmony, the Vedanta Sutra (3129) considers sweat to be included in vegetation.
It is described in the Rig-Veda – for the great man (Body), the gods performed sacrifices in spring, summer, All the seasons, including autumn, were the elements of that sacrifice. From that, animals and birds such as cows, goats, horses, etc. were born. And from the mouth of that great man, Brahmins were born, from his arms, Kshatriyas were born, from his thighs, Vaishyas were born, and from his feet, Shudras were born. The order in which the limbs and senses of this great man arose is described in various Upanishads and Bhagavata Puranas.
There are three types of creation – ‘Prakrita‘, Vaikrita or Vaikarik and Ubhyatamka. The author has beautifully described in his book the specific process of when and how these three types of creation took place.
